Guido, a 45-year-old university professor, walks into the room where his 8-year-old girl lays in bed, her head bandaged for a recent brain surgery, eyes closed, a drip in her arm. Father Paul, the hospital chaplain, gets in and starts praying: “Our Father, Who art in heaven…”. But Guido stops him. The professor and the priest begin a grave discussion on the suffering and death of children, the will of God, faith and miracles.
