After days of anticipation, shared both by the audience and the international guests attending the event, the 2013 Religion Today Film Festival, dedicated to "Visions. Reality and Utopia" finally reached its conclusion with its awards reception last night at the Teatro San Marco in Trento - Italy.
The winner of the Grand Prize “In the Spirit of Faith” is the documentary “One Day after Peace” (by Erez Laufer & Miri Laufer, Israel-South Africa, 2012, 86').
The international Jury (made up of Sergio Botta, Abeer Haddad, Oren Tirosh, Marian Tutui) then awarded as best film “Mar – Snake” (by Caner Erzincan, Turkey, 2011, 110'); a special mention went to “Queen” (by Mohammad Ali Basheh Ahangar, Iran, 2012, 104').
The Award for the best short film went to “The Fall” (by Kristof Hoornaert, Belgium, 2013, 17').
The International Jury instead awarded the best documentary to “Numbered” (by Uriel Sinai, Dana Doron, Israel, 2012, 55'). There was a special mention for “Au nom du frère” (by Youssef Ait Mansour, Morocco, 2013, 52').
The documentary “One Day after Peace” also received the SIGNIS Prize awarded by the SIGNIS Jury (World Catholic Association for Communication), made up of Marie Dulce Arauju Evora, John Forrest and Gaetano Liguori. A Special mention went to the film “Waiting for a miracle” (by Rasoul Sadrameli, Iran, 2012, 86').
